[Good Design Award 2013]

The Village chair is inspired by the iconic Windsor Chair. It uses modern woodworking techniques to reduce the amount of material, and to meet the high cost performance, expected in the modern lifestyles of today. The VILLAGE chair tries to improve upon many challenges of the old windsor chair, such as the visible joints of the legs, the inconsistency of the spokes, and for the angle of the seat. Achieving these goals has resulted in a sturdier chair for a long-time use. The efficient construction and the simple joints also helped raising the productivity and lower the production cost of the chair.
