ダンボール、帆布、プラスチック。いつでもそこにある、ありきたりな素材。長いあいだ疑問もなく使われてきたこれらの材料が、みつめる角度を変え小さな変化を与えることで新しい進化を遂げた。本展ではDRILL DESIGNがてがける３つのマテリアルデザインプロジェクトを展示した。これら新たな素材が今後さまざまな場所へ届き広がり、いつの日かこの素材も次のあたりまえになっていることを想像している。

Cardboard, canvas, and plastic. Ordinary and readily available materials used without question for many years. But with slight changes and looking at these materials in a different light we want to propose new and better versions. In this exhibition we looked at three different material design projects by Drill Design. We believe these will someday become commonly used and hope that this exhibition will show that materials we take for granted can still be filled with mystery and unlimited possibilities.
